    Impressive but not worth the upgrade
    Upgraded from a series 1 42mm, I like the larger face on the series 4 and the heart rate sensor seems to track workouts much more accurately than my older Apple Watch. If you’re already accustomed to Apple and are coming from a previous generation then this should feel and work as to what you’re used too... Though there lies the problem as I wouldn’t say there was too much difference in performance compared to my older series 1 to have perhaps warranted the upgrade. I’m sure I’ll be keeping for a few years though and can but hope the series 6 or 7 prove more of a jump forward.

      I have always worn a watch and I am 100% locked into the Apple eco system. The series 4 watch was a huge leap from the previous versions and I adore this piece of tech. My only complaint was the included strap was cheap and poor but as great straps are available at really good prices that really doesn't matter.

      There was a little scratch on the edge when I opened it. It thought it was brand new. If would have given this 5 star if the box was sealed and without that scratch. But Its a good watch if you are an apple product fan.

      Good: very pleased with ability to pick up phone calls and iMessages, clear loud sound from such a small device, good voice recognition enables voice reply to texts. Fast processor and a good display.
      Bad: WhatsApp doesn't work without a 3rd party app (YOU WOT???) (evidently this is WhatsApp's fault and not Apple's). Heart rate, activity and location monitoring feel intrusive, like the Apple Corporation is watching you (I turned most of it off). The hook and loop band looks cheap (like a computer accessory rather than a piece of jewellery) and is itchy to wear (can be replaced with a 3rd party band). Even though it's the smaller of the two sizes the watch doesn't sit well on my small wrist. The silver ali case looks plasticky. Needs a daily charge.
      My main reason for buying it over a series 3 watch was the phone calls, sound quality, processor speed and iMessages so overall I've given it a 3 rather than 2-star review.

      Update: Downgraded it to a 2 star review as I find it often wakes me from sleep with beeping if I leave it charging beside the bed, either for no reason or to get me to upgrade the OS. Very intrusive. I need it on at night when I'm on call for work, but also I need to sleep if I'm not called in. Also if the watch face touches against something it very easily changes display or activates the Breathe App which is also very intrusive.
